Deadmau5 is kinda on a new level these days. He doesn't really fall in the house genre, and is just shy of dubstep, lucky for us. So, lets just deem him to be of Mau5 Haus genre, and leave him to his thing. And his thing it is. Always solid, and no different in this case of his remix of Pendulums "Watercolor"

Coachella 2011

Aw snip snap snappity! There it is, Coachella 2011. Set and ready to go for this coming April 15th, 16th and 17th out at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, CA. Quite a tasty lineup I must admit. Although I would've loved to have seen Daft Punk headlining, much like some wishers dreamt up in a few fake line up posters, one can hardly complain with the bevy of talented acts at hand. Speaking of which, did you notice the dance/electronica presence? Yahtzee! They are really bringing it this year.  Another big line up announced, and again, hardly any wriggle room to be disappointed.

This was a recent piece I did for my younger sister Gayle. Its 18 x 24 done on Traditional 1 inch stretched canvas. It was done using Oil Ink Pens, and now resides either in NY or Nashville with the little one. 

Avicii BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix

Wow. Thats whats Im gonna lead with here. Fan of House music or not, this set is an absolute must have monster jam. The young Swede masterfully chooses his tracks, while dropping 7 new ones of his own on us, and expanding his recent form of house music splendor. By most standards, the first 35-40 minutes of this mix would be considered fantastic, but once it hits around that mark, it completely puts those first 40 minutes to shame, almost making you forgot they even happened. Best enjoyed at high volumes.
